Yeah it’s pink. And some sort of ancient stucco. But it’s home.
This is the Roosevelt Apartments, an old — somewhat classy — building up on the hill off Broadway in Aberdeen. My dad calls it Hotel California. It has some character and it has big windows, which is pretty much all I was interested in finding.
It’s across the street from a park that got mangled during the windstorm. And the clouds are kind of cool.
Does your dad call it that because you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave?
