“Fighting solves everything”

“Fighting solves everything,” was the motto on several shirts at the fight last night. This is former WSU football player Eric Boose beating the crap out of Galen Brown in the heavyweight main event.

There were four professional bouts, including local girl Sky Bell. Here’s the story by Rob Burns. More photos and video from an amateur bout below.

These photos of Sky Bell during her bout demonstrate some of the intensity. We ran the first one because the local girl had a tough loss for her professional debut and it was kind of a touching-ish moment in the corner. But the second one shows that this is still a brutal sport and the women held their own.

Overall it was a fun event. One of those things it’s hard to believe you get paid to experience. Here’s some more interesting, but stereotypical, boxing shots.
