A little team spirit

So I shot the Hoquiam High football game last night. Lots of decent game shots, but I also snagged this blurry photo of the Grizzlies’ mascot kicking a kid.
I’m pretty sure they were friends, but it’s still weird to see a person in a bear costume side-kick a teenage kid.

Sun on the hammer

This guy is using a sledge hammer to drive pins in to secure the log-rolling pond for Loggers Playday in Hoquiam.

Democracy goes to the birds

So the chickens win.

A lot of people made fun of the attention this story received, but it obviously hit a nerve. A couple council members stated they received more calls on the domestic fowl issue than on almost any other topic during their service.
